Cashmatic was founded in 2012 from the vision of Stelvio Berardi and Alessandro Tarsina, two entrepreneurs with solid experience in the entertainment and services sectors. In 2017, the sales network expanded rapidly, reaching eighty dealers in Italy. The company also entered the Large-Scale Retail Distribution sector, introducing solutions designed for large-scale retail. During this period, the first product lines dedicated to the specific needs of neighborhood stores and supermarkets were launched, consolidating Cashmatic’s position as a reference point for payment automation with automatic cash registers.

A major evolution

In 2018, the first kiosk solution was introduced, a major evolution that allows customers to interact directly with the payment system in self-service mode. This new model marked the beginning of broader innovation, leading Cashmatic to develop increasingly advanced and intuitive products.

In 2019, the company introduced its first monitoring software for remote management of automatic cash registers, enabling merchants to check transactions and machine status in real time. With the pandemic in 2020, attention toward safe and hygienic payment solutions increased. Cashmatic responded promptly with the SelfPay range, designed to eliminate direct contact with money and provide greater protection for operators and customers. The SelfPay line stands out for reliability and ease of use, with automatic cash registers capable of managing cash safely and efficiently. At the same time, the company surpassed one hundred and twenty dealers and continued to strengthen its presence in Italy.

In 2021, with growing digitalization, Cashmatic launched MyCashmatic, an app that allows retailers to monitor and manage their payment systems directly from smartphones, tablets, or PCs. This innovation enables full control of cash operations, improving efficiency and reducing manual interventions. At the same time, the company officially entered the European market, bringing its technology to new countries and expanding its distribution network.

In 2023, expansion continued toward Eastern Europe, accompanied by the introduction of new, increasingly high-performance models. Among these is the VisualPay range, which integrates electronic and digital payments, offering customers an even smoother and more innovative shopping experience. In 2024, the company aims to consolidate its global presence, launching significant projects in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Today, the Italian sales network includes over two hundred and fifty dealers, while Cashmatic automatic cash registers continue to evolve to offer increasingly advanced and customizable solutions.
